Vegan songwriting sisters
Appearing Saturday 2pm in the Performance Area
The Mermaids are two vegan songwriting sisters, Rosie and Ellen, from rural South West Scotland. They focus on close vocal harmony accompanied by acoustic guitar and ukulele. In their career of three years they have toured with acts such as Joss Stone and Jools Holland, have performed live on TV and BBC Radio, had a BBC Introducing session dedicated to them and performed there first gig outside Scotland at The Royal Albert Hall in London. They released an album in late 2013 and are currently recording a second album to be released next year. The Mermaids performed at last years Vegfest Scotland and cannot wait to get back to the SECC.
