Bill Tara has been a strong advocate of plant -based diets for almost 50 years. He was a pioneer in the natural foods movement of the 60’s and 70’s in both America and the U.K. as a Vice President in Erewhon Trading Company (USA) and Sunwheel Natural Foods (UK).
Since 1973 he has devoted himself to education and health counselling, founding the Community Health Foundation in London and the Kushi Institute in London and Boston. He has been invited to present seminars in over 20 countries and served as the Director of Natural Medicine at the famous SHA Health Clinic in Spain. Most recently he appeared with Professor Colin Campbell and Dr Neil Barnard on the Vegan Health Summit.
He currently lives in Glasgow, Scotland with his wife, author and teacher Marlene Watson-Tara.
